Jiří Valášek, MA, MBA
At the age of 11, when he first opened a college psychology script, he knew it was a love of a lifetime.
Studying at a state grammar school only confirmed to him how difficult it is not to fit. Society is still creating requirements for us that we very often cannot meet. The state grammar school was followed by the study of the British grammar school (The English College in Prague), where he also began his formal psychological education. After his successful completion, he was accepted to the Bachelor of Psychology at the University of New York in Prague. During his studies, he completed a one-year internship at Na Homolce Hospital, various internships at the Bohnice Psychiatric Hospital and also volunteered at the ESET-Help Center, which cares for the long-term mentally ill. During his studies as president of the psychological club, he also organized his first student symposium.
After writing a bachelor's thesis on the topic of adolescents' suicides and the importance of the family, this was a field he wanted to continue working on. He was successfully accepted to the prestigious New York University The New School as a master of clinical psychology with a focus on psychopathology. During his studies, where he participated in many researches, he also worked for the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Here he participated in the research of mental health of medical students as well as prevention. Jiří was also member of Todman's psychopathology lab. He was also member of American Association of Suicidology 2014 - 2016 (AAS). After earning a master's degree, he joined the world of fashion at Vera Wang, where he completed his formal human resources (MBA) education at Touro University, a school on New York's famous Wall Street.
